Lannion

Look out! Monster!

A drive around the headland was a bit disappointing. The villages were nice enough, but parking the Big Red Beast on a sunny day was not happening anywhere except at the top of a very big hill at the Belvedère de Trestrignel, albeit with a lovely view

Sunny Lannion

We were a bit wrong-footed coming into Lannion as there were road works and unexpected road closures, so we couldn’t head to our pre-selected parking of choice. We ended up in a large and ambiguously signposted car park outside the station/job centre and walked back into town.

We had done our usual of leaving it until late morning before setting off, so by the time we left the van, it was getting on for 2ish, and most lunch spots were heaving.

We decided to wait for a spot at Crêperie de la Place and took a table inside to avoid the noise from setting up an outdoor stage in the square.

Loved the Breizh Cola, moules were ok

Shops were closing up for the afternoon, so we headed back to the van and took the tour around the headland passing through Perros-Guirrec, Trégastel and Trebeurden, and they looked nice – equally swamped with lots of green seaweed, but very busy as it was a sunny day and so we kept trucking.
