This summer’s adventure was to a small unknown (to us) corner of North Brittany.

The objective was to relax and chill out by the sea, with a carefully selected campsite on the beach as the main stopping point.
The actual cost of getting there was something that dictated the route.

Ferry crossings to nearby ports of Saint Malo or Roscoff were astronomical with the Big Red Van. Even with the cost of fuel and the added distance, going via Dover to Calais worked out about 600 quid cheaper. So more time to get there and back, and a side excursion to Mont St Michel with a 2 night stop on the way out, then one night near Le Tréport on the way back.

We needed the sea air and the sunshine (of which we had plenty!) and had plans to sample cidre, Kouign Amann, Moules Marinière, a Pastis or two and as many galettes and crêpes as humanly possible.
Mission accomplished 💯
We did a small amount of trotting about and discovered Lannion, Morlaix and some coastal spots around Locquirec, so more posts to follow.
The fly in the ointment was the campsite, so when I’ve steeled myself with a couple of glasses of wine I will vent my frustrations, not so much at the cost (although 😠) but the lack of giving any 💩💩 about customer care, just raking in the 🤑🤑
And talking of the campsite experience, we broadened our experience of your camping Aires. Which make a salient comparison…
