All the times I’ve been to Brixham I’ve never been all that keen. That changed this year and I can’t quite put my finger on why.
Maybe after the disappointment of Kingsbridge and Torcross, my expectations were lower. Whatever, it was a pleasant surprise.

We drove over via Dartmouth and took the Higher ferry across the Dart. 14 quid, paid contactless. Straight on and off no messing.
I researched parking in advance, not wanting to be caught out, and we went straight to the Freshwater Quarry Long Stay car park, £4.20 for 3 hours in an extra long bay. Short walk around the harbour into town. Easy.

Pasties were from Fullers on the harbour and were acceptable. We ate them and contemplated going on the Golden Hind Museum Ship moored opposite. Which we did. And it was top.

£21.95 for a family ticket, including treasure hunt for the kids with a small prize at the end.

We wandered the streets looking for toot, meandered into an art exhibition and stared at fabric to make tea towels in a shop window, before heading back to camp.

To be repeated. (Not the tea towel bit).
